Wests Group announce plans for a state-of-the-art city gym
The Wests Group has confirmed today plans to build a world-class gym in the Newcastle CBD.
Wests Group CEO Philip Gardner said the new gym would be located in the historic Hunter Water building.
“The gym will occupy all three levels of the building, will be the first air-conditioned gym in the city, and complemented by free parking,” Mr Gardner said.
“Like Westsʼ Balance facilities at Mayfield, New Lambton and Nelson Bay, this gym will be equipped with cutting-edge high tech exercise equipment and will set the benchmark for health and exercise facilities in the CBD.
“We are opening membership registrations from today, with members able to access the facility from July this year.
“The development of the gym represents a significant investment in the city by the Wests Group,” Mr Gardner said.
