Work finishes on $5.4 million new training facilities at Newcastle TAFE

Minister for the Hunter and Member for Newcastle Jodi McKay today announced work has been completed on a $5.4 million upgrade of Hunter TAFE’s Newcastle Campus.

Ms McKay said new Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy facilities have been constructed as part of the project.

“Newcastle Campus is a recognised centre of excellence and offers a great variety of training in skill shortage areas including transport, information technology and hairdressing,” Ms McKay said.

“The $5.4 million upgrade includes new hairdressing and beauty therapy salons for students to put their training into practice and gain experience in a work environment.
