Sun shines on Newcastle’s ClimateCam

It’s official: Newcastle City Council’s ClimateCam is the best local government project in Australia. The project, which also won the community climate action category of the National Awards for Local Government, was named the winner at an awards ceremony in Canberra on June 24. Prime Minister Kevin Rudd presented Lord Mayor John Tate, NCC general manager Lindy Hyam and energy and resource manager Peter Dormand with the national award ahead of more than 200 other council projects.
