Energetic plan for Mount Moobi

About 2500 jobs and enough electricity to run 62,000 homes would be created at Mount Moobi, near Scone, if plans for the world’s largest solar photovoltaic arrays slated for the area come to fruition. An environmental assessment report on the project was released last week and has been submitted to the NSW Department of Planning.

The Mount Moobi solar array would be part of the $230 million Kyoto Energy Park, which the company Pamada is proposing to build. CSIRO and BP solar are among the organisations with a significant involvement in the project.
