Visitors pump millions into Port Stephens economy

A report by the State Government, Port Stephens Tourism Limited and Port Stephens Council has found that more than $337 million is spent in the area by visitors every year.

Those spending up in the area included 617,000 domestic and 27,000 international overnight visitors and 612,000 domestic day-trippers.

The biggest spenders were domestic overnight visitors at an average of $114 per person, per night.
