Lake Macquarie growth milestone

Lake Macquarie is this year expected to become the Hunter’s first city to hit a population of 200,000.

The milestone will make the area the fourth to do so in NSW.

The prediction is based on Australian Bureau of Statistics figures, which show Lake Macquarie accounts for 37% of the Lower Hunter population.
