Hunter MPs push for action

THREE of the Hunter’s new MPs have told their personal stories and outlined aims for their time in office in inaugural speeches to the NSW Parliament last night.

Liberal MPs Tim Owen (Newcastle), Garry Edwards (Swansea) and Andrew Cornwell (Charlestown) each vowed to work with the region’s other representatives to prevent a repeat of the conflicts between MPs that had occurred during the Labor government.

They thanked supporters and family, including those who watched on from the public gallery.
