SUPERMARKET chain Aldi has confirmed it plans to build a $100 million warehouse and distribution centre at Beresfield that is tipped to create 300 jobs.

It has lodged a project application with the NSW Planning Department and says it is seeking to secure the site, near the end of the F3, chosen after a search for suitable spots.

Hunter Land owns the 15-hectare site, which is part of the Freeway North Business Park.
